Gymhawks Host Bridgeport & Fisk for SEMO Tri-Meet FridayÂ
Southeast Missouri Gymnastics will return to Houck Field House on Friday, February 28, for the third home meet of the 2025 season. The competition will feature University of Bridgeport and Fisk University. Competition is slated to begin at 6:30 p.m. in Cape Girardeau.Â

Pajama Jam
Friday night's meet will feature a special promotion for all Redhawk fans. Dubbed 'Pajama Jam' fans are encouraged to wear their favorite pajamas, slippers, or favorite sleeping attire. Fans will receive a Rowdy Squishmallow courtesy of Window World of Cape Girardeau. Purchase tickets online to save on admission,Â

Who's There
Friday's meet will be the second tri-meet in Cape Girardeau this season and will feature University of Bridgeport and Fisk University. The Gymhawks have enjoyed plenty of success against the two visitors holding a 10-1 combined overall record against the two. SEMO is 6-1 versus Bridgeport and are 4-0 against Fisk.Â

Last Time Versus Fisk
The Gymhawks hosted Fisk a season ago as the Bulldogs came to Cape Girardeau on February 16. SEMO scored a 193.500 out dueling the Bulldogs who scored a 188.225. In 2023, the Bulldogs and Gymhawks faced off three times with SEMO winning every matchup during that season.Â

Last Time Out
SEMO Gymnastics was last in action last Friday, February 21, at the Metroplex Challenge in Ft. Worth, Texas. The Gymhawks faced off with #19 Arizona, #14 Arkansas, and #10 Oregon State. SEMO finished fourth with a 192.350 overall score as the Razorbacks won the meet with a 196.400. Junior
Taylor Ingle finished fifth overall in the all-around with a 39.075. Ingle finished with four scores of 9.700 or higher, including a 9.800 on the vault (T-13) and floor (T-12). She scored a 9.775 on the bars (T-14) and rounded out her night with a 9.700 on beam (T-16).

Greene Returns
Senior
Madison Greene made her return to action last Friday after missing the previous two meets due to injury. Greene featured on the floor for the Gymhawks as she turned in a 9.650 as the Gymhawks finished the floor routine with their second-highest rotation score of the night (48.300).Â

Parton Me
Sophomore
Leah Parton recorded her second highest floor routine at the Metroplex Challenge with a 9.700. Parton finished second for the Gymhawks on the floor finishing just behind
Taylor Ingle (9.800). This season, Parton has a season best of 9.775 on the floor and has three scores of 9.600 or higher.Â

The All-Arounder
Taylor ingle put on another brilliant performance last Friday night turning in a 39.075 on the all-around for the Gymhawks. Ingle finished fifth overall competing against three schools in the top-20 according toÂ
Road to Nationals. This season she has recorded three all-around scores of 39.000 or higher including a season-high 39.150 at Bowling Green (1/26).Â

Freshman
Joselene Hernandez competed on the vault for her lone event of the evening at the Metroplex Challenge last Friday night. Hernandez tied her second-highest vault score of the season with a 9.750 finishing with the second-best score of the evening (ingle, 9.800). She has five finishes this season on vault with a 9.700 or higher through nine meets.Â

Fresh Bars
Gracie Jones has put together a great start to her collegiate gymnastics career on the bars for the Gymhawks in her first season. Jones scored a 9.600 on the bars at the Metroplex Challenge last Friday marking her fourth score of the season with a 9.600 or higher. Overall, Jones has recorded four scores of 9.600 in five meets this year.Â
