CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – Southeast Missouri Women's Basketball (4-21, 2-14 OVC) fell on Saturday afternoon to OVC leading Tennessee Tech (20-5, 14-2 OVC) by a final score of 78-50 at the Show Me Center.

Ainaya Williams led the Redhawks in scoring with 11 points as she was one-of-two Redhawks in double figures. Williams was 5-8 from the field in the contest and hauled in a team-high five rebounds. Guard
Jariyah Williamson scored 10 points for the Redhawks including 2-2 from three-point range.
As a team, SEMO shot 20-53 from the field (37.7%), 4-14 from three (28.6%), and just 6-12 at the foul line (50%).
The Golden Eagles' Chloe Larry started the game off with a pullup jump shot before
Zoe Best answered her on the other end with a beautiful driving layup to tie the game at two.
The two teams would trade baskets back-and-forth as
Ainaya Williams gave SEMO its first lead of the afternoon with an offensive rebound and putback to make it 4-2 Redhawks with 8:31 left in the opening frame.
Tech would then go on a 6-0 run to make it 8-4 with just over halfway left in the first before
Jariyah Williamson got herself on the scoresheet with a corner three to get SEMO to within a point.
A 10-2 TTU run made it 18-9 visitors with just over three-minutes left in the opening quarter before taking a 21-11 lead into the quarter break.
Da'Kariya Jackson, who made her return to the floor after missing nearly a month due to injury, recorded her first basket of the contest to begin the second quarter.
TTU would go on a 13-4 run over the next six minutes of gametime to make it 34-17 Golden Eagles nearing the halftime interval. Another Williamson three-pointer cut into the defecit for the Redhawks as they trailed 34-20 with 3:09 left.
A 9-0 run to close the half from the visitor's made it 43-20 at the half. As a team, SEMO shot 33-percent from the field (9-27) led by
Jariyah Williamson with eight points on 3-4 shooting. The two teams tied eachother in three-point percentage, each shooting 40-percent, but the Golden Eagles made three more three-pointers than SEMO (6-15).
The second half was all Tennessee Tech as the Redhawks never got to within 20 points of the Golden Eagles as they held on for a 78-50 victory on Saturday afternoon.
