CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - Paden Lewis and Clara Billing claimed Weekly Ohio Valley Conference track & field awards for their performances this past weekend.
Lewis has tabbed OVC Male Field Athlete of the Week six out of six weeks for a league high. The senior thrower posted distances of 71' 2.50 and 60' 1.75" for first and third in the weight throw and shot put. The weight throw ranks third in SEMO record books and the shot put ranks fourth in SEMO records.
Billing tabbed OVC Female Field Athlete of the Week for the first time this year. The Swedish native vaulted over a height of 13' 6.25 for ninth, besting 14 other athletes for a season best mark, ranking third in the SEMO records, first in the OVC, and 52nd in the NCAA.
