Redhawks Conclude Road Swing Tuesday at Little Rock
Southeast Missouri Women's Basketball (4-19, 2-12 OVC) will wrap-up a three-game road swing at Little Rock (12-11, 10-4 OVC) on Tuesday, February 11, in Little Rock, Arkansas. Tip-off is set for 5:00 p.m., CT. at the Jack Stephens Center. 
 
Series History
The Redhawks and Trojans will meet each other for the second time this season with the first resulting in a 67-63 LR victory at the Show Me Center (1/14). The teams have played six times since LR joined the Ohio Valley Conference ahead of the 2022-23 season and the Trojans have won all six matchups. 
 
Last Time Out
The Redhawks were last in action on Saturday, February 8, at Southern Indiana falling by a final score of 67-56 in Evansville, Indiana. 
 
Senior Lexi McCully scored 30 points on Saturday evening for her first 30-point contest of the season. McCully set a new career-high with her 30-point performance going 11-23 from the field (47.8-percent), and an impressive 5-10 from three-point range (50-percent) to lead the Redhawks in all scoring categories. McCully also finished 3-for-4 at the charity stripe (75-percent). 
 
SEMO shot 32.3-percent from the field as a team (21-65) and shot 33-percent from three-point range. The Redhawks snatched 34 rebounds as a team led by freshman center Ainaya Williams who hauled in 10 boards. She also impacted the defensive end of the floor with three blocks. 
 
Williams finished second on the team in scoring with nine points on 3-8 shooting and shot 75-percent at the free throw line (3-4).
 
League Table
Entering Tuesday's matchup, the Redhawks are tied for 10th in the Ohio Valley Conference at 2-12 with SIUE. The Redhawks are a game behind eight place as Morehead State and Tennessee State are both 3-11 in league play. Little Rock enters in sole possession of fourth place at 10-4 in OVC play. 
 
Grab the Rebound
Center Ainaya Williams is coming off another strong rebounding performance against Southern Indiana. The St. Louis, Mo.-native hauled in nine rebounds against one of the top rebounding teams in the league on Saturday. In the last four games, Williams has grabbed 33 rebounds for an average of 8.5 RPG. She had a career high 11 rebounds earlier this season against Indiana State (11/30). 
 
McCully Goes Off
Senior Lexi McCully had her best scoring performance of the season on Saturday evening dropping 30 points against Southern Indiana. McCully surpassed her previous season-high of 22 points against Lindenwood earlier this season (1/23). She has scored 16 or more points in three-straight games and is averaging 20.6 PPG over that stretch. 
 
Steals Leader
Guard Indiya Bowen, who missed Thursday's game against Morehead State, returned to the floor for the Redhawks on Saturday night and recorded a pair of steals in the contest. The Redhawks leader in steals, Bowen now has 39 on the season and is averaging 2.0 SPG. She currently ranks eighth in the OVC for steals in just 20 games played. 
 
From Three
SEMO has shot the ball well from deep this season checking in at fifth overall in the OVC for team three-point percentage at 31.1-percent. On the season, the Redhawks have shot 512 three-pointers, second in the league, while making 159 of them through 24 games. 159 ranks them third in the OVC in three-point field goals made this season. 
 
Welcome Back Sophie Bussard
Graduate student Sophie Bussard returned to the court for the Redhawks after missing significant time due to injury this season. Bussard returned against Morehead State on Thursday (2/6) and continued Saturday at Southern Indiana. She averaged 16.5 minutes-per-game over both contests including 23:13 against USI. Bussard averaged 3.0 PPG and grabbed three rebounds. 
 
Assists
Lexi McCully is the Redhawks' leader in assists this season having dished out 65 assists this season through 23 games. McCully, who ranks 12th in the OVC, averages 2.8 assists-per-game and has recorded an assist in every game this season. Over the last three, McCully has averaged 2.0 APG including four against Tennessee State (2/1). 
 
Scouting the Opponent
Trojans
Little Rock comes into Tuesday's matchup with a 12-11 overall record and a 10-4 mark in OVC play coming off a comeback victory over Morehead State on Saturday afternoon. LR won the game 66-63 after being down by double-digits early in the second half. 
 
At home this season, LR has a 6-4 record in the Jack Stephens Center most recently losing to UT Martin at home (2/1) by a score of 64-59. 
 
The Trojans are averaging 62.5 points-per-game while allowing 66.0 PPG to their opponents for a -3.6-point differential. As a team, LR is shooting 40.2-percent from the field and 26.2-perecent from three-point range. 
 
Three Trojans average double figures on the season led by Faith Lee with 15.6 PPG. Lee has scored 359 points this season through 23 games. Jordan Holman and Sug Williams follow behind with 12.9 and 10.5 PPG, respectively. 
 
On the glass, three Trojans average 5.0 rebounds or more per game led by Emerald Parker at 6.4 RPG. She grabs nearly 3.0 RPG (2.4) and averages 4.0 RPG on the defensive end. Williams and Holman follow behind with 5.3 and 5.0 RPG, respectively.
