
Thomason Breaks School Record to Wrap Up First Meet

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Anna Thomason broke her own indoor pentathlon school record as the Southeast Missouri track teams wrapped up theJohn Gartland Open Saturday afternoon.
Thomason racked up 3901 points to top the field of nine athletes. She won four out of the fife events including setting new personal best marks in the 800-meters (2:23.22) along with the shotput (37' 3.25"). She also won the long jump reaching 18' 3.75" and the 60-meter hurdles (8.54).
On the men's side Luis Schadlich finished 12th in the heptathlon that finished today after suffering an injury during Friday's competition.
The squads will return back to the track when they host the Redhawks Invite January 10th with events starting at noon.
