Women's Basketball Captures 69-62 Victory at Wichita State Tuesday

WICHITA, Kan. — Southeast Missouri Women's Basketball (2-2) defeated Wichita State University (1-4), 69-62, with a decisive 22-point fourth quarter at Charles Koch Arena. The Redhawks captialized on turnovers, scoring 26 points off the Shockers' 18 turnovers.

First Quarter  
- Carmen Taylor opened scoring with a 3-pointer, assisted by Lexi McCully, giving SEMO an early lead.  
- The Shockers responded with a fast-break 3-pointer by Jaila Harding, assisted by Taya Davis, to take the lead temporarily.  
- Raissa Nsabua assisted McCully for a fast-break layup, regaining the advantage for the Redhawks  
- Carmen Taylor closed the quarter with a buzzer-beating 3-pointer, putting SEMO ahead 15–14.

Second Quarter
- Raissa Nsabua hit a 3-pointer at 6:50, assisted by Charmen Taylor, giving the Redhawks a brief lead.
- Charmen Taylor connected on another 3-pointer with 5:50 remaining, extending the visitor's advantage.
- The Shockers leveled the score at 26 with a layup from Cheyenne Banks, assisted by Diamond Richardson at 2:39.
- At the half, the score was tied at 28.

Third Quarter
- Aa'Mya Stacker opened the quarter with an offensive rebound and tip-in to gain an early lead for SEMO. 
- Lexi McCully connected on a 3-pointer with an assist from Zoey Rixter, widening the gap.
- The Shockers responded with a three-pointer from Abby Cater, closing in on the lead.
- Ainaya Williams scored a late jumper, reducing the deficit to three points by the end of the quarter.
- At the end of the third quarter, the Shockers held a 50–47 lead.

Fourth Quarter
- Southeast Missouri capitalized on free throws, converting 10 of 14 attempts in the quarter.
- A 3-pointer by Lexi McCully at 2:13 pushed the visitors ahead by six.
- Raissa Nsabua contributed defensively with a steal and two free throws, extending the lead late.
- At the final buzzer, the Redhawks secured a 69–62 victory.
