CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. — Southeast Missouri Men's Basketball (1-3) fell to St. Thomas (3-2) by a final score of 84-72 at the Show Me Center on Saturday afternoon.
Luke Almodovar led the Redhawks with a team-high 20 points. Prior to the contest, the Redhawks honored the 2024-25 Ohio Valley Conference Regular Season Championship by revealing a banner in the rafters of the Show Me Center.
First Half
- St. Thomas (MN) opened strong, scoring 10 points off turnovers and 20 points in the paint.
- Southeast Missouri managed to close the gap with a late scoring effort, highlighted by
Luke Almodovar's contributions, including a 3-pointer.
- The Tommies maintained control with 16 points from their bench, despite the Redhawks out-rebounding them 15 to 0 on offensive boards.
- At halftime, St. Thomas (MN) led 41–29.
Second Half
- Austin Herro's defensive rebound initiated a scoring stretch for the Tommies with Nolan Minessale contributing a layup.
- Southeast Missouri answered with a series of layups from
Brendan Terry and
BJ Ward, closing the gap slightly.
- Jermaine Coleman added a critical 3-pointer, bolstering the visitor's lead midway through the half.
- At the end of the game, the Tommies secured an 84–72 victory.
