Redhawks Travel to Music City for Weekend Matchup at Tennessee State
Southeast Missouri Volleyball (12-12, 4-6 OVC) will travel to Nashville, Tennessee to continue Ohio Valley Conference play for a two-match weekend at Tennessee State (1-24, 0-12 OVC). The Redhawks will take on the Tigers on Friday, October 31 and Saturday, November 1 at 6 p.m. and 12 p.m., respectively. The matches will take place at Kean Hall. 
 
Series History
In a matchup dominated by SEMO, the Redhawks and Tigers will meet for the 62
nd and 63
rd time in volleyball over the weekend. SEMO Volleyball holds a 51-10 advantage in the series and are on a five-match winning streak, dating back to the 2023 season. The Redhawks have also won 8-of-the-last-10 matches in the series. 
 
Last Weekend
The Redhawks hosted league-leading Morehead State last weekend in Cape Girardeau as SEMO dropped both matches in three-sets. Junior 
Lucy Arndt and freshman 
Katy St. John led the club with 12 and 10 kills, respectively, on Friday night. Arndt continued that performance on Saturday afternoon with a team-high 13 kills followed by sophomore 
Marin Johnson who finished with 11. The Redhawks edged the Eagles at the net, out blocking the visitors by an 11-10 mark. 
 
League Table
The Redhawks are currently seventh in the Ohio Valley Conference standings with a 4-6 overall record in league play.  SEMO is tied with Lindenwood and Western Illinois at 4-6 with both opponents remaining on the schedule. Tennessee State is currently last in the league with an 0-12 mark in league play. Morehead State continues to lead the OVC with a 10-0 record in conference action.

Junior 
Lucy Arndt finished last week with back-to-back double-digit kills performances against Morehead State. This season, Arndt has 21 matches with 10 or more kills including a season-high 23 versus Missouri State earlier this season (9/19). She has 340 total kills on the season on a nation's best 1,111 total attacks. 
 
The Great Libero
Nina Schuberth ranks amongst the nation's best liberos in both defense and on the service line. Schuberth has 397 total digs on the season which ranks her 24
th in the nation, and third in the OVC. When serving, Schuberth has dialed up 36 total service aces which ranks her 33
rd in the country and leads the OVC in the category.
 
Distributor
The Redhawks are in the top 10 in all of Division I volleyball in team assists. As a team, SEMO has dished out 1,131 total assists which ranks them 10
th in the country and first in the OVC. Sophomore 
Megan Holder leads the Redhawks in assists with 507 over 92 total sets. She is averaging 5.51 assists per set and ranks ninth in the OVC in that category. 
 
Back Where She Belongs
Sophomore 
Alaina Lester returned to the top 10 in the OVC in total blocks. In just 78 sets, Lester has recorded 68 total blocks, including 61 block assists and seven solo blocks. She is averaging .87 blocks per set and ranks ninth in the OVC in blocks. 
 
100+
Five Redhawks have eclipsed the 100 total kills mark on the season headlined by 
Lucy Arndt. Arndt has a team-high 340 total kills followed by 
Marin Johnson (224), 
Katy St. John (167), 
Ramiri Gardner (105), and 
Alaina Lester (104). The five of them are accountable for 940 of SEMO's 1,196 total kills. 
 
Points, Points, Points
Entering the weekend, SEMO Volleyball ranks fourth in the OVC in points. In 96 sets played, SEMO has compiled 1,536 total points and are averaging 16.00 points per set. The Redhawks, who have played more sets than anyone in the league, are behind SIUE, Eastern Illinois, and Morehead State in points. 
 
Highest Hitting-Percentage
Sophomore 
Alaina Lester has the highest hitting-percentage in the Ohio Valley Conference. In 78 sets played, Lester has a .335 hitting-percentage having recorded 242 total attacks and just 23 errors. She has 104 total kills and ranks fifth on the Redhawks in that category.

Redshirt freshman 
Jacey Young saw action on Saturday afternoon against Morehead State marking just her third set played in this season. Young recorded her first kill of the season against MSU. She now has one kill on the campaign and a block assist in 2025. 
 
Welcome Back, Oxenknecht
Middle blocker 
Kara Oxenknecht returned to action against Morehead State after missing some time due to injury. Oxenknecht recorded a kill and a solo block in three sets played against the Eagles. On the season, Oxenknecht has 64 total kills in 51 sets played, and has a .367 hitting-percentage over 147 total attacks. 
 
Team Offense
In 24 matches, the Redhawks offense is responsible for 1,196 total kills and has a team hitting-percentage of .213. SEMO ranks fifth in the nation in total attacks with 3,527 and have recorded just 444 errors over those attacks. The Redhawks are averaging 12.46 kills-per-set.
