Gymhawks Travel to Bowling Green Sunday
Southeast Missouri Gymnastics will take part in the Bowling Green Tri-Meet on Sunday, January 26, 2025, marking the fifth-straight meet on the road to begin the season. Competition is slated to begin at 1 p.m., CT. from the Stroh Center in Bowling Green, Ohio.Â

Who's There?Â
The Gymhawks will face off with two schools from the Mid-American Conference (MAC) including the host, Bowling Green, and Central Michigan. This season, SEMO is 0-2 against MAC schools having fallen to Ball State in the first two meets of the season. Bowling Green ranks 61
st in the nation while CMU ranks 49
th per Road to Nationals.Â

Gymnast of the Week
Junior
Taylor Ingle was named the Midwest Independent Conference (MIC) 'Gymnast of the Week' following her performance at the Texas Woman's Tri-Meet last Friday night. Ingle secured first place in the all-around with a 38.500 including season-highs on both the vault (9.850) and floor (9.875).Â

Last Time Out
The Gymhawks are coming off a two-meet week including last Friday at the Texas Woman's Tri-Meet and Monday at the Centenary Tri-Meet. SEMO placed second on Friday with a season-high 193.325 team score. The Gymhawks bounced back with a win on Monday afternoon with a 192.325 downing both Centenary and West Chester.Â

Taylor Ingle took first place in the all-around in both meets finishing with a 38.500 and a 38.225, respectively.Â

th on the rotation. Rounding out the final three rotations, SEMO ranks 58

Kuehn on the Vault
Junior
Ailey Kuehn has been a standout on the vault this season. The Eagan, Minnesota-native has recorded a season-high 9.800 on the vault back on January 12 at Ball State. At the Texas Woman's meet, Kuehn recorded a 9.775 for back-to-back meets with a score north of 9.700.Â

The Freshman
Joselene Hernandez has been a standout for the Gymhawks in her first season of collegiate gymnastics. Hernandez has competed in the all-around twice this season, setting a career-high 37.525 at the Centenary Tri-Meet on Monday afternoon. She set a season-high on the vault at Texas Woman's with a 9.7500 and followed it up with a 9.725 at Centenary.Â

Back to Bars
Sophomore
Ava Johnston, who missed the first three meets of the season, was inserted into the bars lineup at Texas Woman's & Centenary. The 2024 Second Team All-MIC selection recorded back-to-back 9.700s in her first two appearances of 2025.Â

Five in a Row
On Monday afternoon, the Redhawks recorded five-straight season-highs on the beam rotation en route to setting a team score of 48.650, their highest team score on the beam this season.
