Lewis Tabs Third OVC Weekly Award

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - Paden Lewis tabbed OVC Field Athlete of the Week after his performance this past weekend at the Show Me Showdown the League announced Wednesday Afternoon.
Lewis, the senior from Jefferson City Missouri, took home his third OVC Weekly Honor. He placed first in both the weight throw and shot put events with marks of 74' 6 .25", 59' 11.75".
The weight throw distance was a new personal record and ranks second in SEMO records, first in the OVC, and seventh in the NCAA. The shot put mark ranks first in the OVC and 34th in the nation.
Lewis has competed in three meets this season and has placed first in all the weight throw and shot put events he's competed in. He'll be back in action this weekend for the Crossroads of America Invite this Friday and Saturday.
