Pippin Named Big South-OVC Specialist of the Week

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - For the third week in a row, Southeast Missouri claimed at least one of the Big South-Ohio Valley Conference Association honors when kicker DC Pippin was named Specialist of the Week Monday.
A native of Springfield, Illinois, Pippin scored 13 of SEMO's points in the Redhawks recent 19-0 shutout over Northwestern State. He kicked a career-high four field goals and added one extra point. Pippin scored the final 12 points of the game on field goals of 30, 38, 37 and 24 yards. He also kicked off five times for 295 yards and averaged 59 yards per kickoff. The 13 points were the most Pippin scored in a game, as well.
Pippin won the award for the third time in his career.
Lindenwood's Jeff Caldwell (Offensive), Tennessee Tech's Theron Gaines (Co-Defensive), UT Martin's Oshae Baker (Co-Defensive) and Tennessee State's Sanders Ellis (Freshman) rounded out the week's honorees.
