Shea DeGraaf and
Anna Thomason are in first place following day one of the Joey Haines Invitational.
Day two of the Joey Haines Invite will feature the rest of the heptathlon and decathlon at 10:00 a.m. The men's hammer throw is scheduled for 3:30 p.m with the women to follow.
Heptathlon Day One
After four events in the heptathlon Thomason is in first with 3128 points,
Kaitlyn McGinnitey is in second with 2797 points,
Tayler Gudde is in fifth with 2463 points, and
Kendall Holweg is in seventh with 2365 points
The 100m hurdles saw Thomaosn, McGinnitey and Gudde, achieve times of 13.90 (New PR), 14.60 (New PR) and 16.53 for first, second and eighth.
With jumps of 5' 3.75" and  4' 9.75" Thomason and McGinnity placed first and sixth in the high jump.
McGinnitey posted a mark of  34' 0.75" (2nd), Gudde threw for a distance of 32' 7.75" (3rd), Thomason notched a throw of 31' 2.5" (8th), and Holweg achieved a new personal best throw of 30' 7.75" (9th).
The Redhawk women swept the top four in the 200-meter with Thomason placing first (25.08, New PR), Holweg placing second (26.01, New PR), Gudde placing third (26.40 New PR), and McGinnitey placed fourth (26.43).
Decathlon Day One
After five events in the decathlon
Shea DeGraaf has 3650 total points and is in first.Â
Isaac Readnour is in fifth with 3282 total points.
In the 100-meter race DeGraaf  grabbed the silver (11.34) and Readnour grabbed the bronze (11.42).
DeGraaf and Readnour took second and third in the long jump with marks of 22' 8" and 22' 0.25".
DeGraaf posted a throw of 44' 2" to take the trophy in the shot put.
In the 400m dash Readnour and DeGraaf crossed the line at 53.41 (5th) and 54.50 (7th).
DeGraaf cleared a height of 6' 4.75" (1st) and Readnour jumped over a mark of 6' 0" (6th).
