OXFORD, Miss. - Southeast Missouri track & field posted 14 top ten performances and recorded four new personal bests Friday during day one of the Ole Miss Invite.
Day two field events will begin at 11:00 a.m CT with the women's high jump while the running events are slated for 1:00 p.m CT with the 4x100m relay races.
New Personal Records
Paden Lewis achieved a throw of  193' 1" (9th) and
Quinton Maxwell registered a throw of 152' 04" for new personal bests in the hammer throw.
In the men's javelin throw
Isaac Readnour posted a new PR and distance of 157' 02".
Anna Thomason threw the javelin for a new personal record mark of 100' 8" (15th).
Top 10
Serena Williams long  jumps for a season best mark of 18' 7.75" for fifth.
Jaden Kight takes home the bronze medal after launching the javelin 140' 11".
The men's weight throw saw
Parker Feuerborn ( 221' 3", 3rd),
Marshall Swadley (200' 0", 8th) and
Clay Alewelt (188' 04" , 10th) all place in the top ten.
With ending throws of 196' 01, 179' 10", and 153' 05"
Justin Breault placed third,
Shea DeGraaf placed third and
Josiah Kilgore placed eighth in the javelin.
In the 3000m Steeplechase Makenzie Pugh notched the silver medal crossing the line at 12:13.11.
Clayton Eftink and
Jacob Blassingame  ran the 3000m steeplechase in 9:48.25 (6th) and 10:15.34 (8th).
Notable Performances
Piper Klinger throws for a mark of 168' 08" (12th) and
Alivia Busch notches a throw of 157' 03" (18th) in the hammer throw.
Freshman Molly Grohman recorded a jump of 17' 6" (15th) and Tojai jumped for a distance of 17' 5.25" (16th) in the long jump.
In the women's Javelin
Tayler Gudde and
Kaitlyn McGinnitey achieved marks of 110' 2" (11th) Â and 81' 10" (17th).
Aarion Jackson placed 15th (21' 2") and Luke Bustateri jumped for a distance of 20' 6.5" (17th) in the men's long jump.
