Series History
The Redhawks and Sycamores will meet for the ninth time in the schools' history on Saturday evening. A season ago, SEMO traveled to Terre Haute, Indiana on December 10 resulting in a 65-57 loss from the Hulman Center. ISU holds a 7-1 series advantage with the Redhawks lone win coming in the 2019-20 season in Terre Haute (W, 68-58).

Head Coach Briley Palmer, in her first season as the Redhawks head coach, picked up her first career victory on Monday night against Southern Illinois. SEMO downed SIU by a final score of 70-58 from the Show Me Center.

Against SIU
The Redhawks improved to 1-4 on Monday night, defeating SIU behind 19 points and nine rebounds from junior guard Kennedy Claybrooks. Claybrooks was one-of-three Redhawks to finish in double figures as Lexi McCully and Indiya Bowen chipped in 18 and 14 points, respectively. The Redhawks led for all but 49 seconds of the game on Monday night and used a 12-0 run, winning 49-44, to seal the victory.

Versus the Missouri Valley
Women's Basketball is now 1-1 on the season against Missouri Valley Conference teams ahead of the matchup against their third MVC opponent of the season. Earlier this year, SEMO fell to Evansville (70-55) before picking up the win over SIU. In addition to ISU, the Redhawks will host in-state foe Missouri State on Monday, December 16 marking their fourth matchup against the Missouri Valley.
