Schuberth Finishes 2024 with Fifth OVC Weekly Award

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Southeast Missouri Volleyball's Nina Schuberth notched her fifth Ohio Valley Conference weekly award as she was voted Co-Defensive Player of the Week by the league's communication directors.
Schuberth, who has had 20+ digs in 20-straight matches, recorded her 20th straight performance during Wednesday's 3-0 sweep over SIUE. She finished the match with exactly 20 digs after coming off a 26-dig performance on Tuesday night (W, 3-1).
Nina finished the final week of the regular season with 46 digs for a 6.57 digs-per-set ratio in just seven sets.
She finished the season ranked ninth in the Ohio Valley Conference in digs with 499 (4.23 digs-per-set) but leads the OVC in conference-only play and statistics. In 71 sets played in OVC play, Nina recorded 448 digs for a 6.31 dig-per-set ratio. She finished with 107 more digs than Jessie Seidel of Lindenwood (341).
SEMO Volleyball wrapped up the number one overall seed in the 2024 Ohio Valley Conference Championship Tournament and will play #8 Tennessee State on Sunday, November 24, at 4 p.m. in Cape Girardeau.
