Norman Nabs Third Big South-OVC Defensive Player of the Week Award

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – Southeast Missouri senior linebacker Bryce Norman won his third Big South-Ohio Valley Conference Association Defensive Player of the Week award Monday.
A native of nearby Jackson, Norman recorded a career-high 19 tackles, three tackles for loss and two sacks against Lindenwood (Nov. 9). He went over 100 tackles in a season for the second time in his career. Norman also posted double-digit tackles for the fifth time in 2024.
His 19 tackles are the most in a game by a Big-South OVC player this season and rank as the fifth-most by a FCS player. Norman's 10.7 tackles per game are first in the Big South-OVC and fifth nationally through 10 contests.
SEMO has won a total of 11 Big South-OVC weekly honors this year.
