ST. CHARLES, Mo. – Chris Harris scored a career-high 36 points and it wasn't enough as Lindenwood (10-20, 5-12) overcame a 20-point deficit to pull off a 105-102 double overtime victory over Southeast Missouri (15-15, 10-7) Thursday in a thriller at Hyland Arena.

The Redhawks did not trail for the first 40 minutes, but LU outscored SEMO, 46-33, in the second half to set up extra time.

LU took its first lead by way of a Keenon Cole 3-pointer. Cole's three gave LU an 83-82 edge with 2:46 left in overtime.

A running baseline jumper by Jacob Tracey increased LU's margin to two and the Lions forced a turnover on the Redhawks next possession. Burrell got open for a layup to put LU ahead, 87-83, with 1:18 remaining.

Harris buried two free throws and the Lions responded when Brandon Trimble scored, was fouled and completed a 3-point play to grab a 90-85 lead.

Dylan Branson split two free throws to get SEMO within four and Trimble went to the free throw line and sunk two more free throws to give LU a six-point advantage (92-66).

A driving layup by Aquan Smart cut LU's lead to 92-88 with 24.7 seconds and the Lions turned the ball over on their next possession.

Smart came up big again with a basket and was fouled. After missing a free throw, Israel Barnes grabbed the offensive rebound and scored to bring the game to a 92-92 deadlock with 5.8 seconds.

A desperation 3-pointer by LU sailed past the hoop and both teams headed to a second overtime period.

Harris scored and drew a foul on the opening possession of overtime number two. He missed his free throw and Kevin Caldwell Jr. buried a 3-pointer at the other end.

Smart's basket put SEMO up, 100-99, at the 1:31 mark. However, a Tommie Williams turn around jumper gave the lead back to LU.

LU called a timeout after rebounding a missed shot by Smart. The Lions, out of timeouts, were charged with a technical foul that resulted in two made free throws by Harris that gave SEMO a 102-101 edge with 28 seconds.

Remy Lemovou, who did not have a point, put back a missed Williams layup to put the Lions up 103-102 fourteen seconds later.

Two free throws by Childs later gave LU a 105-102 advantage.

SEMO had one last chance to tie the game, but Harris' 3-pointer just missed and the Lions held on.

The Redhawks stormed out to a 13-2 run in the first 3:40 of regulation.

Harris and Barnes each buried a 3-pointer to get things going. Barnes scored again in a jumper and Smart drained a 3-pointer. Josh Earley's layup following a Branson steal capped the surge with 16:20 left to play in the first half.

The Redhawks later scored 10-straight points to run their lead to 16. Another 3-pointer by Smart and layup by Barnes finished off that jaunt to give SEMO a 27-11 advantage with 8:38 to go.

SEMO widened its lead to 34-16 on a dunk by Earley at the 6:00 mark before leading 45-32 at the intermission.

The Redhawks heated up to shoot 56.3 percent (18-of-32) from the field and drained five 3-pointers in the opening 20 minutes. Harris and Barnes each scored double figures in the first half.

SEMO stayed hot in the second half making its first eight field goals en route to getting ahead by 20 (63-43). Harris scored nine points during that stretch.

LU countered with a 17-6 run to get within single digits. A Cam Burrell free throw narrowed the Redhawks lead to 69-61 with 7:26 on the clock.

Harris made two free throws and Barnes scored a layup after SEMO drew a charging foul to regain another double figure lead for the Redhawks.

The Lions kept chipping away and used a conventional 3-point play by Burrell and jumper by Childs to close SEMO's lead to 74-69 with 4:31 left to play.

LU managed to get within five (76-71) again on a pullup jumper by Burrell just before a media timeout with a little over three minutes remaining.

Caldwell Jr. drove to the basket and scored to trim SEMO's lead to 76-73 and Childs then knocked down a three to tie the game with 1:05 to go.

Harris made two free throws and Childs tied the game again on a pair of free throws with 33 seconds.

SEMO had an opportunity to win it in regulation, but Barnes' 3-pointer came off the rim setting up the Redhawks second overtime matchup of the season.

Harris missed just twice from the field going 11-of-13. He added 13-of-15 free throws, as well. His 13 free throws made are also a career-high.

Smart, too, had a career night finishing with 22 points. Barnes followed with 20 and Nate Johnson chipped in 10 for SEMO which shot just under 50 percent (49.3).

LU outscored SEMO, 33-22, at the free throw line and also shot 49 percent from the floor.

Childs led the Lions with 25 points as one of five double-digit scorers.

The Redhawks are now in a four-way tie for second in the Ohio Valley Conference standings. SEMO, Tennessee State, UT Martin and Tennessee Tech are all 10-7 entering the final day of the regular-season Saturday.

SEMO was without its top scorer Phillip Russell. Russell served a one-game suspension after the OVC determined he committed repeated violations of the league's Sportsmanship policy.

Russell will be back with the Redhawks when they face SIU Edwardsville on the road Saturday.
