LEBANON, Tenn. – Southeast Missouri women's gymnastics tallied a team score of 193.375 for third overall at the 2022 Tennessee Collegiate Classic Friday at the Farm Bureau Exposition Center.
Jolie Miller won the bars title with a career-best tying 9.875. Molly Maxwell was third in the all-around competition with a total score of 38.450.
SEMO opened the Classic with a 47.700 on vault.
Freshman Lindsay Ockler paced SEMO with a career-high 9.825 after hitting a 9.750 in the Redhawks season-opening quad meet at Kent State Jan. 16. Ockler finished tied for second overall at the Classic Friday.
Nyah Reader added a personal-best 9.550 followed by Miller and Maxwell who both notched 9.500s in the first and third lineup slots.
For Miller, it was her vault debut as a Redhawk after competing as a bars and beam specialist the past two seasons.
Ashley Albrecht had a 9.325 to round out the SEMO scorers in the initial rotation.
The Redhawks then notched a 48.675 on bars.
Miller matched a career-best 9.875 in the anchor position to pace SEMO. The junior from Aurora, Colorado, tied her PR set at the 2020 installment of the Tennessee Collegiate Classic. Miller won her first career event title with the score as a freshman in 2020 in Tennessee and grabbed her fourth career title with the same score Friday.
Lydia Webb (9.750, fifth overall) and Ockler (9.825) added career highs in the fourth and fifth lineup slots, respectively. Ockler finished as the runner-up on the event to Miller.
For Webb, it was her first mark of 9.700 or higher in 2022.
Jordan Jones chipped in a 9.650. Albrecht finished with 9.575 and Maxwell had a routine of 9.425.
SEMO then totaled a 48.750 on beam in the third rotation. Jones paced the Redhawks with a 9.825 for second overall on the event.
Miller and Maxwell added 9.800s in the first and fourth slots, respectively. Reader was fourth on SEMO with a personal-best 9.675 and Anna Kaziska had a 9.650.
The Redhawks concluded the tri with a 48.250 on floor. Freshman Madison Greene led SEMO with a career-best 9.850 for fourth Friday.
Ockler was second on the Redhawks with a personal-best 9.775 followed by Maxwell's 9.725.
Ockler didn't have a score lower then 9.7750 Friday, competing in three of the four events.
Kaziska (9.500), Jones (9.400) and Webb (9.300) rounded out the SEMO floor competitors.
Lindenwood took first overall in the tri meet with 195.475 and Northern Illinois was second, posting a 194.225.
Lindenwood's Hanna Moon won the all-around with 38.900.
SEMO next heads to St. Charles, Missouri, Saturday, Jan. 29 to take on MIC rival, Lindenwood. First rotation is set for 1 p.m., CT.
