Southeast Missouri trails its all-time series against Austin Peay, 33-22. The most recent matchup was in the Show Me Center when the Redhawks fell 61-50 on Feb. 3, 2018. SEMO is 1-7 against the Governors under head coach Rekha Patterson. The Redhawks are 12-14 against Austin Peay in Cape Girardeau.

How We Got Here
The Redhawks are currently 6-7 this season and have won three of their last five games. Southeast Missouri finished the non-conference schedule with a 5-6 mark. Most recently, the Redhawks opened OVC play with a 62-52 win at SIUE and a 80-73 loss against UT Martin. SEMO earned its first win in an OVC opener since 2015-16. Rekha Patterson secured a win at the Vadalabene Center for the first time as the Redhawks head coach. Tesia Thompson leads the team with 17.2 points per game. Adrianna Murphy averages 4.2 assists and 3.3 steals per contest. SEMO has forced 15-plus turnovers in 12 of 13 games this season.

Scouting the Governors

The Governors are 7-6 overall and 2-0 in the Ohio Valley Conference this year. Austin Peay is 0-5 on the road with losses to Cincinnati (48-69, Nov. 6), Vanderbilt (70-99, Nov. 12), Western Illinois (72-77, Dec. 2), Illinois State (49-61, Dec. 4) and Evansville (52-56, Dec. 18). The Governors defeated Eastern Kentucky, 100-65, to start OVC play. Junior forward Arielle Gonzales-Varner leads APSU with 12.9 points and 8.2 rebounds per game. Senior guard Keisha Gregory averages 13 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game. Gregory was recently named OVC Player of the Week.
