Scouting Lindenwood-Belleville
The Lynx finished the 2017-18 season 22-9 with a 19-5 record in the American Midwest Conference. LBU advanced to the NAIA National Championship before losing, 82-72, to Mid-America Nazarene University. Junior Brianna Mueller averaged 14.6 points per game last season with 33 steals, and 79 rebounds. As a whole, the Lynx averaged 79 points per game with seven women scoring in double figures.

Tuesday marks the second time Southeast Missouri and Lindenwood-Belleville meet. The last meeting was nearly eight years ago when the Lynx suffered a 77-46 loss in Cape Girardeau.

Southeast Missouri was predicted to finish fifth in the Ohio Valley Conference Preseason Poll with Belmont picked to finish first. UT Martin, Jacksonville State and Morehead State all follow Belmont in the voting. Sophomore Tesia Thompson was named Preseason All-OVC after racking up 398 points and 164 rebounds last season.
Blast from the Past
Tesia Thompson was named OVC Freshman of the Year after her outstanding rookie campaign. The Memphis, Tennessee native, averaged 12.8 points and 27.2 minutes per game. Thompson shot a team-high 118-of-163 (.724) at the free-throw line. Adrianna Murphy was named the 2017-18 OVC Defensive Player of the Year after recording a team-high 88 steals and averaging 5.2 rebounds per game. The Redhawks finished the season 14-17 overall and 9-9 in OVC play.
