All-Ohio Valley Conference Preseason Team honoree
Tesia Thompson recorded a team-high 26 points on the day. Thompson racked up seven rebounds, two steals and a block against the Hawks.
Southeast went 19-for-34 from the free throw line with
Kennedi Allen going a team-high 5-for-6 from the line.
The Hawks went 17-for-26 from the free throw line with eight women stepping up for the shot.
As a whole, the Redhawks held each of the Hawks to single digit points. SEMO recorded 12 steals and 42 rebounds, 26 of which came from Southeast's aggressive defense.
The Redhawks return to action Tuesday to take on Lindenwood-Belleville in their second exhibition game.
