CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – The Southeast Missouri women's basketball team (15-13, 8-7 OVC) fell to SIUE (16-12, 11-4 OVC) in the home finale Wednesday evening, 89-75. Wednesday's loss was Southeast's second OVC home loss, finishing 6-2 in league play at the Show Me Center.

Prior to tipoff, seniors
Erin Bollmann and
Connor King were honored during senior night festivities.

Bollmann finished with her team-leading fourth double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds. It was Bollmann's ninth double-double in a Redhawk uniform. Â

King finished her four-year career in the Show Me Center with six points, three rebounds, and a pair of blocks.

Southeast spent the majority of the first half out in front of SIUE. The Redhawks took a 5-2 lead early in the frame on a three-pointer by
Adrianna Murphy. Southeast led by at most four in the quarter while the Cougars remained hot on their tails.

Shronda Butts nailed a 3-pointer to put SIUE back in front. The quarter ended with the Cougars on top of Southeast Missouri, 26-21.

Ten turnovers and only one field goal in the second quarter for Southeast allowed SIUE to take a 53-26 lead at halftime. SIUE converted the Redhawk mishandlings into nine points off turnovers.

Southeast's only field goal game with 3:12 left in the frame. The Redhawks were outscored 27-5 in the second.

Murphy had seven first-half points, all of which came in the first quarter.
Erin Bollmann had six rebounds in the half.

Southeast's offense began to fire in the second half but it wasn't enough to close in to the Cougars. Â

A 9-0 run with 4:33 to play cut the Cougar lead to 20, 65-45. The run was capped by a 3-pointer by
Imani Johnson.

The quarter ended with six unanswered points by SIUE to finish with the Cougars out in front, 76-51. Southeast narrowly outscored SIUE in the frame, 25-23.

 The Redhawks outscored SIUE again in the fourth quarter, this time by 11 points, 24-13.

A 15-2 run by Southeast cut the Cougar lead to 14 with 3:14 to play, 80-66. The Redhawks were able to cut it to 12 a couple times but that was the closest they would get.

The game ended with SIUE in front by 14, 89-75.

Johnson hit two of Southeast's three 3-pointers and finished with 13 points in the game.
Bri Mitchell totaled 12 points while Murphy had 11.

Butts led the Cougars with 26 points in the matchup.

Southeast Missouri will bring the regular season to a close on Saturday at Austin Peay. The Redhawks and Lady Govs tip off at 4 p.m. from Clarksville, Tennessee.
