Redhawks Close Out Exhibition Play Against Ouachita Baptist Saturday

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - Southeast Missouri head men's basketball coach Dickey Nutt will face his brother for the second-straight year when the Redhawks host Ouachita Baptist in their final tune-up before the 2013-14 season Saturday. Tip-off is set for 8 p.m., CT, at the Show Me Center.
Dennis Nutt, the younger brother of Southeast's fifth-year head coach, is in his third year at the Ouachita Baptist helm. The brothers met for the first time as coaches of their respective institutions during exhibition play a year ago. Southeast won that contest, 71-60, on Oct. 30, 2012.
Saturday's matchup marks the final exhibition tilt for the Redhawks, who tip off their 2013-14 campaign at Saint Louis on Nov. 8. Southeast defeated Hannibal-LaGrange, 115-45, in its other preseason game on Oct. 29.
Jarekious Bradley scored 25 points to lead six different players in double figures in Southeast's lopsided win against the Trojans. Bradley dropped in 20 of his points on 8-of-9 field goals and a perfect 4-of-4 three-pointers in the second half alone. Ohio Valley Conference Preseason Player of the Year Tyler Stone is coming off a double-double 19 points and 11 rebounds this exhibition season.
Jamaal Calvin (16), Lucas Nutt (12), C.J. Reese (12) and Caleb Woods (10) were Southeast's other double-digit scorers.
