The 2026 season will mark the second season for Assistant Coach Lydia Test as a full-time member of the SEMO Gymnastics Coaching Staff. Test will oversee the vault and floor routines for the Redhawks.
In 2025, Test helped guide Taylor Ingle and Joselene Hernandez to spots in the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics National Invitational Championships Event Finals. Ingle competed on the vault and floor under Test's guidance, while Hernandez was on the vault. Ingle posted scores of 9.6375 on the vault and a season-high 9.8875 on the floor. Hernandez finished her first appearance in postseason action posting a 9.6375.
Coach Test also helped land Ingle in the NCAA Division I Tuscaloosa Regional as she competed in the all-around. She posted a 9.575 on the vault and a 9.825 on the floor.
Test served as the Redhawks Student Assistant Coach and the team choreographer for the last two seasons as the Redhawks set a program record 197.050 at the Tennessee Collegiate Classic, including a perfect 10.000 from Lindsay Ockler on bars.
Test competed for SEMO for two seasons before medically retiring from the sport. She appeared in eight meets on both vault and beam in 2021, helping the Redhawks capture the USA Gymnastics Team title.
Test recorded five scores of 9.700 or higher including a career-best beam mark of 9.825 against Centenary and Illinois State (2/26/21) and a personal-best vault of 9.750 at the 2021 USA Gymnastics Championships Team Finals (4/10/21) to help the Redhawks capture the team title.
In the classroom, Test has been named a Midwest Independent Conference Scholar-Athlete and a USA Gymnastics Women's Collegiate Nationals Scholar Athlete.
