Desmond Noird 2025

Desmond Noird

Desmond Noird enters his third year on Southeast Missouri’s coaching staff.

Noird will coach SEMO’s wide receivers for the second year after spending the 2023 season as the team’s recruiting coordinator.

He coached three All-Ohio Valley Conference-Big South receivers in 2024, his first year coaching the position. Dorian Anderson, who later signed with the Canadian Football League’s Toronto Argonauts, garnered first-team honors, while Cam Pedro and Tristan Smith each collected second-team accolades that season. Anderson was also the first SEMO receiver to get over 1,000 yards under Noird.

Prior to SEMO, Noird spent one year as wide receivers coach at Missouri S&T. During his first year on that staff, the Miners had two receivers earn All-GLVC honors.

Noird was on the staff at Walsh University in 2021 where he worked as wide receivers coach.

Before that, he was the defensive quality control coach at Missouri State for two years. Noird worked under Dave Steckel in 2019 and then under Bobby Petrino during the 2020-21 season when the Bears made the NCAA FCS Playoffs.

A native of Lithonia, Georgia, Noird played collegiately at Florida A&M for four seasons, where he accumulated 36 receptions for 485 yards and five touchdowns. His top seasons came as a sophomore in 2015, where he had 15 receptions for 157 yards and two scores. As a junior, Noird averaged 23.1 yards on eight catches and had two touchdowns.

Noird attended the 2025 NCAA and NFL Coaches Academy in Indianapolis. He participated in the three-day professional development program that brought together more than 45 college football coaches to engage in leadership training.
