Southeast Missouri State University Athletics

Darius Hicks enters his first year coaching at the NCAA Division I Football Championship level at Southeast Missouri.

Hicks will assist with the Redhawks defensive backs and cornerbacks.

He spent the last three years at his alma mater, Morningside University, as co-leader of the defensive backs. Hicks also held roles as a student coach, defensive backs coach and special teams coordinator at Morningside from 2014-17.

Prior to Morningside, Hicks was the cornerbacks coach and assistant special teams coordinator at Emporia State in 2018-19. 

During his playing days at Morningside, Hicks was an All-Great Plains Athletic Conference honoree as a senior and played on a National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) national runner-up team as a junior.
