Cade Brister begins his third year as an assistant coach at Southeast Missouri.

Brister moves to running backs coach after spending the 2024 season as recruiting coordinator and nickelbacks coach.

Brister initially joined SEMO’s staff as video coordinator in 2023.

Prior to entering the coaching ranks, Brister played five years as quarterback at Lindenwood University. He ended his decorated playing career holding 16 single-season records and eight career marks, including passing touchdowns and passing yards.

Before enrolling at Lindenwood, Brister was the 2016 Missouri Player of the Year at Fort Zumwalt North High School. A two-time First-Team All-State selection, he threw for 2,600 yards and 20 touchdowns, and rushed for 4,000 yards and 84 TDs in his career. 

Brister graduated from Lindenwood with a degree in Secondary Education in 2022.
