Ojutkangas Earns Second OVC Award of the Season

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – Nova Ojutkangas has tabbed her second Ohio Valley Conference weekly honors of the year for her performance at the OVC Conference Preview meet this past Friday, the league announced Wednesday afternoon. She shares the honor with Shelby Lamb of Morehead State.
Ojutkangas was crowned the champion in her second NCAA competition of the season. She finished with a time of 21:45.2 in the 6k ahead of 23 other athletes. Ojutkangas's time is now the top time for the 6k distance in the OVC this year. Hall competed in the Southern Showcase presented by Jacksonville State Friday night, finishing first with a time of 17:39.1 in the 5k.

SEMO Cross Country will be back in action Friday, October 2nd in Terre Haute, Ind. For the Nike XC Town Twilight, hosted by Indiana State.
