Hatfield Jackson and Thomason Earn Track & Field Weekly Honors

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - Luke Hatfield Jackson and Anna Thomason tabbed Ohio Valley Conference track and field Athlete of the Week awards for their performances this past weekend at the Ole Miss Classic.
Hatfield Jackson claimed the first OVC Male Field Athlete of the Week award of the outdoor season with a first place finish in long jump at the Ole Miss Classic. The graduate student jumped a distance of 24' 3.75" placing him 20th nationally and first in the conference.
Thomason claimed the first OVC Female Track Athlete of the Week award of the outdoor season after winning gold and setting a personal record in the 100m hurdles at the Ole Miss Classic with a time of 13.88. This time ranked her 54th in the NCAA and first in the OVC, while also being second all time in SEMO records.
