CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – Southeast Missouri (4-8, 3-5) dropped its season finale, 30-13, to Lindenwood (6-6, 5-3) Saturday afternoon at Houck Field.
SEMO had just 176 total yards and did not lead in the game.
LU scored the first 16 points on a pair of 1-yard rushing touchdowns by Nate Glantz and a 36-yard field goal by Will Graham to take a 16-0 lead.
The Redhawks got on the board late in the third quarter when
Johnny Weber threw a 11-yard touchdown pass to
Kalvin Gilbert to narrow the Lions lead to 16-6.
LU added 14 more points in the fourth quarter on a 7-yard rushing touchdown by Steve Hall and a 12-yard run by Jared Rhodes.
Cole Ruble's 5-yard touchdown run was SEMO's other score with 7:13 remaining in the fourth quarter.
Weber completed 20-of-34 passes for 161 yards and the Redhawks had only 15 rushing yards for the game.
Slade Dollar paved the way with nine tackles for SEMO's defense.
Seventeen seniors played their final game at SEMO. That group was honored prior to kickoff.
LU won the rivalry's Game Ball Brawl trophy for the second-straight season and first time in Cape Girardeau. The all-time series between the schools is now even at 2-2.
