SEMO Soccer wraps up its regular season slate on the road facing Morehead State with kickoff set for 2 p.m.

Series History

Morehead State

Despite leading the all-time series 15-9-7, SEMO is currently on a three-match losing streak to Morehead State. All three losses have come with a 1-0 result. From 2018-2022 the Redhawks flipped the switch and went 4-0-2 against the Eagles. SEMO also won the first three matchups with the first two coming in 1999 in which SEMO won 2-1 in the regular season and took down Morehead State in the OVC tournament 2-0 as well. 

Last week

The Redhawks lost both of their games against SIUE and Tennessee Tech 1-0. 
In the match against SIUE, Madison Geisler stood on her head early with nine saves in the first half and the match was 0-0. SIUE finally got a ball past Geisler in the 75^th minute. Geisler finished with 11 saves. SEMO was outshot 22-10 and the Redhawks only mustered three shots on goal. 

In the match against Tennessee Tech, the Redhawks were held without a shot on goal. Their best look came when Rachel Kretzer took a shot that hit the cross bar. After the first half was scoreless again, the Golden Eagles scored the lone goal in the 50^th minute. 

Result and In

Sitting at 2-5-1 in OVC play totaling seven conference points, SEMO must get a result to make the OVC tournament. The Redhawks are above Morehead State by three points.

Shoot Away

In the Redhawks two wins this season, they outshot their opponent. In the win against UT Martin, SEMO outshot the Skyhawks 14-5, just like the win against Western Illinois when SEMO outshot the Leathernecks 15-6. 

Shots on goal is a key for this team and the two leading scorers Hayley Hogenmiller and Justi Nelson lead the team in shots on goal. Nelson has 12 followed by Hogenmiller with 9.

Conting from the key of shots on goal, as a team the Redhawks rank 37^th in shot accuracy at .508, that number is second in the OVC just behind Tennessee Tech.
