Redhawks Return Home to Host Missouri Baptist
Southeast Missouri (1-6) plays host to NAIA member Missouri Baptist (6-2) Sunday. Tip-off is set for 3 p.m., CTÂ at the Show Me Center.

Series History
Southeast Missouri is undefeated at 20-0 all-time against Missouri Baptist. The series dates back to the 1976-77 season. SEMO holds a 15-0 record against the Spartans in Cape Girardeau. These teams last met on Nov. 22, 2021 with the Redhawks coming away with a 71-63 win in Cape Girardeau.
Against Non-Division I
The Redhawks are on a 33-game winning streak against non-Division I foes. Missouri Baptist is the first of four such teams on Southeast Missouri's 2023-24 schedule. SEMO will also play host to Harris-Stowe (NAIA) on Dec. 6, Lindsey Wilson (NAIA) on Dec. 17 and Bethel (Tenn.) (NAIA) on Jan. 6.
Korn vs. Non-Division I
Brad Korn is 4-0 all-time against non- Division I teams as a head coach. Korn is 1-0 vs. Missouri Baptist, 1-0 vs. William Woods, 1-0 vs. Webster and 1-0 vs. Lyon College.

First-year Southeast Missouri Assistant Coach Ladon Champagnie is a graduate of Missouri Baptist. Champagnie earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology there in 2013.
Good to be Home
After spending five games on the road in November, Southeast Missouri will be at the Show Me Center for five of its seven contests in December. SEMO's December home schedule includes dates with Missouri Baptist (Dec. 3), Harris-Stowe (Dec. 6) and Lindsey Wilson (Dec. 17) before the start of Ohio Valley Conference action. The Redhawks begin their 18-game league slate at home vs. Southern Indiana (Dec. 29) and Morehead State (Dec. 31). SEMO is 1-1 in Cape Girardeau this season.
Let's Get a Win
The Redhawks are looking to end a three-game losing streak. Southeast Missouri lost by double-digits vs. Evansville (93-74, Nov. 25), at Chattanooga (72-56, Nov. 26) and at Kansas City (74-44, Nov. 30) during that stretch.
Tale of Two Halves
Through seven games, Southeast Missouri has been a better team in the second half than it has in the first. SEMO trailed by double figures in the first half a total of five times and fell behind by 12 or more in the opening five minutes on three occasions. Opponents are outscoring the Redhawks, 299-177, and average 25.2 points per game in the first half. Meanwhile, SEMO won the second half three times and has played its opponents much closer in the final 20 minutes. Opponents hold a 263-247 advantage over the Redhawks in the second half. SEMO overcame a 12-point second half deficit to get its first win of the season vs. Central Arkansas (Nov. 20).
3-Pointer Streak
As a team, Southeast Missouri has made at least one 3-pointer in 466 consecutive games. The last time SEMO did not make a 3-pointer was vs. Western Illinois (0-of-6) on Dec. 10, 2008.
