LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Jaliyah Green scored double figures for the fourth-straight game with 13 points as Southeast Missouri (5-10, 0-4) fell to Little Rock (7-8, 4-0), 65-45, Saturday afternoon at the Jack Stephens Center.
In her fourth start of the season, Green posted double-digits in the scoring column for the sixth time this year.
SEMO never led in the game against the Trojans who are tied for first in the Ohio Valley Conference.
Trailing, 34-23, at halftime, LR went on a 16-2 third-quarter run to put the game out of reach for good. The Trojans held a 10-point advantage at the start of their surge, which ended second-chance layup by Sali Kourouma that put LR ahead, 54-30, with 1:37 left. LR outscored SEMO, 20-9, in the third period.
Tykara Harrison scored five of the Redhawks 13 points in the fourth quarter, where SEMO edged the Trojans, 13-11.
Green shot 4-of-8 from the field, buried one 3-pointer and made 4-of-6 free throws.
Alecia Doyle followed with a near double-double eight points and nine rebounds.
SEMO shot 31 percent (16-of-52) from the field to LR's 40 percent (21-of-53) clip. The Trojans also held a 21-9 advantage at the free throw line.
Kourouma led all scorers with 30 points on 10-of-18 shooting and 8-of-9 free throws. She added a team-high seven rebounds, as well. Angelique Francis contributed 13 points.
The Redhawks turned the ball over 28 times. LR converted those miscues into 33 points.
