Redhawks Announce 2022 Volleyball Schedule and Ticket Packages

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – Southeast Missouri women's volleyball, the 2021 Ohio Valley Conference Regular-Season and Tournament Champions, announced its 2022 schedule Tuesday.
The Redhawks will play 30 regular-season matches in 2022. SEMO will compete in four non-conference tournaments before a full 18-match OVC slate.
The Redhawks will host 12 home contests in 2022 at Houck Field House.
Southeast Missouri will host the SEMO Invitational to kick off the 2022 campaign Aug. 26-27. The Redhawks will welcome Arkansas-Pine Bluff, North Dakota State and Jackson State to Cape for the two-day tournament.

Friday, Aug. 26
Jackson State vs. North Dakota State – 10 a.m.
Arkansas-Pine Bluff vs. SEMO (dark jerseys) – 12:30 p.m.

North Dakota State vs. SEMO – 7 p.m.
Saturday, Aug. 27

SEMO then hits the road for three-straight weeks to wrap up non-conference play. The Redhawks will compete at the Illinois State Redbird Tournament Sept. 2-3, followed by the Northern Iowa Tournament Sept. 9-10, and then conclude the non-conference schedule at the Southern Illinois Tournament Sept. 16-17.
With the exception of midweek matches against an institution's travel partner, the 2022 OVC schedule features its traditional Friday and Saturday contests as each OVC school will face the same opponent as part of a two-match series on back-to-back days.
SEMO opens the league calendar with a home series against Tennessee State on Sept. 23-24 with matches set for 6 p.m. and 7 p.m., respectively.
The Redhawks will take on travel partner and OVC newcomer Little Rock in a home-and-home series this season. SEMO will compete against the Trojans on Monday, Oct. 10 to complete a three-match homestand before traveling to Little Rock, Arkansas, for the series finale on Tuesday, Oct. 18.
SEMO will also face UT Martin (Sept. 30-Oct. 1), Southern Indiana (Oct. 14-15), Lindenwood (Oct. 27-28) and Morehead State (Nov. 11-12) on the road and host Eastern Illinois (Oct. 7-8), Tennessee Tech (Oct. 21-22) and SIUE (Nov. 4-5) during the 2022 conference slate.
The 2022 OVC Championship Tournament will be contested Nov. 17-19 at the regular-season champion.
SEMO, the 2021 OVC Regular-Season and Tournament Champions, fashioned a 26-8 overall mark this past fall including a 14-4 record during league matches. The Redhawks 26 wins in 2021 are the highest win total since the 1999 season when Southeast Missouri notched a 28-6 overall mark.
The Redhawks won their second OVC Tournament Championship in three seasons and seventh in program history in 2021. SEMO also won both the regular-season title and the tournament title in the same season for the first time since 2000.
SEMO returns a trio of All-OVC starters in senior libero Tara Beilsmith (2019 and 2021 All-OVC Second Team), senior outside hitter Zoey Beasley (2021 All-OVC First Team) and graduate student rightside hitter Colby Greene (2021 All-OVC Tournament Team).
Head coach Julie Yankus, the 2021 OVC Coach of the Year, will lead the Redhawks in her 12th season at SEMO in 2022.

Season tickets and single match tickets are now on sale for the upcoming fall season. All seating at Houck Field House is general admission.
Season tickets can be purchased for $39 (including all taxes and fees). Redhawks Club members at the Varsity level and above along with SEMO Faculty and Staff are eligible for discounted season tickets.
Single game tickets are $6 when purchased online (including all taxes and fees). Walk-up admission at Houck Field House is $8 for adults and $6 for children 14 and younger.
