MUNCIE, Ind. – Southeast Missouri women's gymnastics notched its second-highest vault score of 2019 en route to a team score of 186.900 Sunday in a tri meet at Ball State at the Worthen Arena.
Southeast posted a vault score of 48.000 Sunday for its second-highest mark on the discipline this season.
Ball State won the tri with a team score of 194.575 and Illinois State was second with 194.250.
Anna Kaziska finished second in the all-around with a career-best score of 38.875 courtesy of a personal-best bars set of 9.725. Illinois State's Gabrielle Cooke captured the all-around crown with 38.950.
Southeast opened the meet on beam, recording a 46.850. Kaziska led the team with a 9.700 which finished sixth overall at the tri.
Mackenzie Slee added a 9.575 and
Allyson Bell recorded a season best 9.550.
The Redhawks then registered a 46.725 on floor in the second rotation. Kaziska paced SEMO with a 9.775 which tied for fifth at the meet. Slee was second on the team with a 9.525 and Fischer had a 9.500.
In the third rotation, SEMO totaled its second-highest vault score of 48.000. Slee posted a 9.775 for the top Redhawks score on the event and sixth at the tri. Kaziska chipped in a 9.675 and
Gabrielle Adams had a 9.600.
Michael Sanders and Fischer each added identical scores of 9.475.
Southeast concluded the tri on bars with a mark of 45.325. Kaziska's career best 9.725 led the way for SEMO and tied for fifth at the meet.
Maya Tran also had a personal-best score of 9.375 on the event.
Slee (37.475, fourth), Fischer (36.675, fifth) and Sanders (35.925, sixth) also competed in the all-around competition.
SEMO next returns home to Cape Girardeau, Missouri, to host Pennsylvania on Friday, March 1 at 6:30 p.m. at Houck Field House.
