Southeast Missouri trails its all-time series against UT Martin, 28-36. The most recent matchup was at the 2018 OVC Tournament in Evansville, Indiana where the Skyhawks topped the Redhawks 60-63 in the first round. SEMO has dropped the last nine contests at home, while falling 1-18 to UT Martin in the last 19 matchups. 

How We Got Here
The Redhawks are currently 6-6 this season and have won four of the last five games. The Redhawks finished the non-conference schedule with a 5-6 mark.  Most recently, the Redhawks opened OVC play with a 62-52 win at SIUE. This was the first OVC opener win since the 2015-16 season when SEMO defeated Belmont 81-74. Head Coach Rekha Patterson finally got a win at the Vadalabene Center as the Redhawks have not won in Edwardsville since February 13, 2014. Tesia Thompson leads the team with 17.2 points per game. Adrianna Murphy averages 4.0 assists and 3.4 steals per contest. SEMO has forced 15-plus turnovers in every contest during the 2018-19 season. 

Nationally Ranked Redhawk Defense
Southeast Missouri has forced 242 turnovers in the 2018-19 season to rank them 20th in the nation. In the past 30 days, SEMO has forced 116 turnovers in the past 30 days starting back on December 4 against Illinois-Springfield. The Redhawks have forced 26 turnovers three times in this duration and have forced 15-plus turnovers in every game this season. SEMO is also ranked 17th in the nation in steals per game with an average of 12 steals. Adrianna Murphy leads the Redhawks with 41 steals and is ranked 14th in the nation.   

Scouting the Skyhawks
The Skyhawks have a 8-4 mark this season with a 0-1 record in the Ohio Valley Conference. Recently, UT Martin fell 71-77 at Eastern Illinois to close the Skyhawks' three-game win streak. UT Martin is ranked nationally with 85.5 points per game after tallying 100-plus points in three games this season with wins over Christian Brothers, Alabama-Huntsville, and Mississippi Valley State. The Skyhawks have posted a 114-36 record in OVC play under Kevin McMillan, with a four conference championships in the past six seasons.
