Southeast Missouri women's basketball (7-10, 2-3) battle the Eastern Kentucky Colonels (5-9, 2-3) at 2 p.m. at the Show Me Center on Saturday.
 
Scouting Eastern Kentucky
The Colonels are 5-9 on the season and 2-3 in conference play. They are coming off of a 49-77 loss to the UT Martin Skyhawks. Eastern Kentucky shot 29 percent from the field and 13 percent from three in that game. On the season they are led by A'Queen Hayes who averages 14.8 points and 8.0 rebounds per game. They have four players averaging double digit scoring.

Last Meeting with Eastern Kentucky
Southeast has dropped the last five meetings with Eastern Kentucky, the last time losing 63-74 on Dec. 31, 2016. The Redhawks last defeated the Colonels on Feb. 10, 2011 with a score of 64-57. Southeast trails the all-time series 13-32.
 
Southeast Falls to Morehead State at  Buzzer
The Redhawks and Eagles went back and forth the whole game. Southeast was down 10 and half but battled back in the third to tie the game heading into the fourth quarter. The final period came down the wire, Southeast missed a couple chances to take the lead in the final minute, giving the Eagles an opportunity. With two seconds left Southeast doubled the ball leaving Eriel McKee wide open to hit a three at the buzzer, giving them the win.
 
A Look at What's Ahead
The Redhawks will hit the road the following week. They travel to SIUE on Wednesday and then to Eastern Illinois to play the Panthers on Saturday.
