Redhawks in the Preseason WNIT
This will be the first time in program history that the Redhawks compete in the Preseason WNIT Tournament. This is the 24th Annual Preseason WNIT since the event began in 1994. Notre Dame took down Washington last year to become the sixth program to win the tournament multiple times.
Scouting Louisville
Last season, Louisville finished 29-8 overall and 12-4 in ACC play. That record was good for a fourth-place finish in conference (tied with NC State). Louisville made its 20th NCAA Tournament appearance, reaching the Sweet 16. It was the seventh Sweet 16 appearance in school history for the Cardinals and fifth in the last seven years. Louisville was led by Asia Durr, who averaged 19.2 points and 3.4 rebounds a game last season. Durr is entering her junior year with the Cardinals and was named to the 2018 Ann Meyers Drysdale Award Watch List.
A Look at What's Ahead

Classroom on the Court
The Redhawks hold their annual Classroom on the Court game when Missouri Valley College comes to the Show Me Center Nov. 14. Southeast invites local elementary and middle schools to participate in fun activities, receive educational packets and enjoy a Redhawks basketball game. A crowd of over 2,000 students are expected to attend this year's game. Tip-off is 11 a.m., CT.

The Preseason WNIT features 16 Division I teams across the United States. This year's tournament includes Cal State Northridge, Drake, George Mason, Houston, Liberty, Louisiana, Louisville, Michigan, Milwaukee, New Orleans, Old Dominion, Oregon, St. Francis, Southeast Missouri, Texas A&M and Toledo.
OVC Preseason Poll
Southeast was predicted to finish in a tie for eighth in this year's OVC Preseason Poll. The Redhawks share that spot with Murray State, which had the same conference record as Southeast (7-9) last season. Both teams received a total of 101 points in the poll. Belmont was picked to finish first with a total of 242 points and 22 first-place votes. Belmont also had two players chosen for Preseason Co-Player of the Year in Darby Maggard and Sally McCabe.
Exhibitions Recap
The Redhawks went undefeated in exhibition play this preseason. In its first game, Southeast defeated McKendree, 61-34, with the help of a strong defensive effort. The Redhawks limited the Bearcats to single digit scoring in the first, second and fourth quarters, and 25 percent shooting from the field. In the final exhibition game, Southeast took down IU Southeast, 76-53, thanks to a big fourth quarter. Adrianna Murphy led all scorers with 23 points, seven assists, seven rebounds and eight steals.
