Â
The Redhawks win their second game in a row, their fourth road victory, to improve to 6-4 on the season.
Â
"Lipscomb is a really good basketball program and a very good team that's hard to guard because they can do so many things,"
Rekha Patterson said. "I think our ladies executed the game plan and we had players step up, knock down some shots, and score and rebound for us. I am very happy with this win."
Â
The Redhawks tied a season-high with five players with double-digit points, led by
Deja Jones' first double-double performance with a career-high 19 points and 10 rebounds. Jones celebrated her 20
th birthday on Tuesday in her hometown.
Â
"Can it be her birthday every day? Can we play in Nashville every night," Patterson said with a laugh. "I am so happy she got to have the performance she had in front of her family this evening."
Â
Before long, the Lady Bisons had a six-point lead on the Redhawks with 4:38 to play in the first quarter, 12-6.

Â
The Bisons opened the second quarter with seven unanswered points to pull within three points of the Redhawks.

Â
The Redhawks and Bisons went bucket-for-bucket until a minute and a half left.
Â
Southeast ended the first half on a seven-point run, capped by Noe's fourth 3-point bucket with six seconds left to bring the Redhawk lead back to 10, 45-35, at halftime.

Bri Mitchell tallied 12 points while Bollmann had 11.
Â
Johnson was one rebound shy of picking up her second double-double in a row.
Â
"Nobody tried to do something they weren't capable of doing tonight, which is what I like to see out of our players. We felt like we could get some paint points and Deja did a great job of that in this game. We played well in the post but I was also pleased with our performance from the perimeter as well," Patterson added.
Â
As a team, Southeast scored a season-high 46 points in the paint.
Â
The Redhawks shot 34-of-66 (51.5%) from the field, almost a season-high. Southeast's 34 field goals were a season-high for the team.
Â
The Redhawks will return home for a five-game homestand beginning Sunday, Dec. 13 when they host Central Arkansas.
Â
"We are going to be playing another good program whose head coach has been coaching there for a while; she is very successful and she will have her team prepared. We are going to take tomorrow off and get back in the gym to shoot the next day and start to get better at things that we need to get better at to continue to have success on the floor."
Â
The Redhawks will be hosting a free youth clinic following Sunday's game. The clinic is part of the Academy Sports + Outdoors Clinic Series. The clinic is open to kids in sixth grade and younger. Additionally, kids ages 14 and under will receive free admission to Sunday's game.
Â
Patterson concluded, "I'm very excited for our free youth clinic on Sunday. We can't wait to see lots of kids at the Show Me Center for the game and hope they stick around afterwards to learn from our players and staff."Â
