Athletics Launches Rowdy's "Good Sport of the Month" Program

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - Southeast Missouri's Department of Athletics is launching Rowdy's "Good Sport of the Month" program which recognizes area youth who demonstrate outstanding sportsmanship.
Southeast is teaming up with the Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department and Southeast Missourian Jr. to develop this effort that encourages good sportsmanship based on the six pillars of character: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship.
Redhawk Athletics will review nominations each month and recognize one outstanding youth person. Each winner will be featured in the Southeast Missourian Jr. and at GoSoutheast.com, plus receive a complimentary Rowdy's Kids Club membership.
Help us recognize good sportsmanship throughout southeast Missouri and nominate a local child today!
