Ryan Spille rates as one of the top pitchers to ever take the mound at SEMO. Spille was First-Team All-OVC, the OVC Pitcher of the Year and a Third-Team Collegiate Baseball All-American during the 1998 season, the year the Redhawks won their first-ever OVC Tournament title and advanced to their first NCAA Division I Tournament. He was named a Preseason All-American by Collegiate Baseball the following season. Spille ranks among SEMO’s career pitching leaders in wins (21, 5th), strikeouts (215, 2nd), strikeouts per nine innings (9.07, 8th), innings pitched (213.1, 9th), shutouts (3, t2nd) and complete games (16, 3rd).
