Larry Yeargain, now deceased, played four years on the football team at SEMO. During his college career, he was part of teams that combined for a total of 24 wins. Yeargain was a First-Team All-MIAA performer and was named Little All-American by the Associated Press. He was a member of the 1955 team which is in the Athletics Hall of Fame. That team went unbeaten and untied at 9-0-0 and claimed the MIAA Championship.
